Milestone

The morning was greeted by Uncle Doc’s sms asking me if I passed my exam. I was like, “Huh, result’s out?”. Jumped off the bed and went straight to the website to check.

Endroog G, AMII. That’s the new suffix on my namecard. The insurance industry is as such where qualifications and designations are very important to demonstrate professionalism. The Malaysian market is not quite there yet but mature markets in developed countries look at these insurance qualification a lot. I think I should continue to add more suffixes to my name….. like what most of insurance professionals do.

Most importantly, the pecuniary reward given by the company is so attractive, I wonder why a lot of them are not considering signing up for studies. Thanks to the company for paying for my studies.

Wendy’s Burger: The Wastage

Recently I went to Wendy’s Burger at Wisma Central ( next to Stan Chart building) for lunch with some colleagues.

I ordered 2 set meals – for myself and Mun Choon. Then I paid and the cashier started to grab the stuff and put onto the tray. 3 cups of soft drink, 3 pack of fries…. I was wondering if they are having promotion. Buy 2 free 1 ?

Then I asked the lady why are there 3 instead of 2 that I ordered? Then I told her I ordered 2 sets only. Then she acknowledged it was her fault and proceeded to refund me and prepare the stuff. She told the kitchen that there was an error and then I saw a fella threw a wrapped burger into a rubbish bin.

The cashier then took 1 of the fries on my tray and threw it into the same rubbish bin. We were like what the fuck. Are they really that stupid to throw away freshly prepared food? Can’t they keep it on the shelf for next customer? The Whopper burger is their best selling burger. The fries can be put back into the fries machine. Give it to dogs or cats? WTF.

But, could it also be that these fellas are fooling their management and CCTV by throwing food into a bin and later someone collect (tapau) the food at the back alley? They make it as if they are disposing rubbish.

There are shortage of food worldwide and here they are wasting food. No?
